Loureiro
This variety is grown almost everywhere in the region and is best adapted to the coastal areas, not only being recommended for the more inland sub-regions such as Amarante, Basto and Baião.Old and of high quality, it produces citrine colored wines, with a fine, elegant aroma that goes from fruity citrus (lemon) to floral (freesia, rose) and honey (bouquet), with a fruity, slightly acidulous, fresh, harmonious, full-bodied and persistent flavor.
