Mel do Marão
It is a honey blessed by Serra do Marão and by nature, with extensive patchesof forest in the region that gives the honey distinctive characteristics and high quality
quality.
In the territory, there are two distinctive types of honey that are influenced by the
proximity of the Serra da Abobareia and the honey flora:
- Heather honey is a mountain honey found at altitudes up to 1200 meters.
Dark amber in color, it has intense aromas characteristic of autumnal components. - Marão honey, on the other hand, is a honey from diverse regions of lower altitude and varied flora.
